Our Personal Approach

Introduction

Center Introduction

At Kids’ Laughing & Learning Center we have a comprehensive educational curriculum. It is based on the belief that children learn while they play. Our curriculum is focused on preparing your child to excel when they enter the public school system. Our objectives and lesson plans meet all NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children)standards for accredited schools. In addition, we have specifically used the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge Skills) to guide and enhance our learning goals. It is our commitment to provide each child that attends our center with a learning experience they will enjoy!!

Infants

Infants

Infants as early as 6 weeks old will be cared for in a loving and secure environment by our infant care specialists who understand the needs of new parents. You will be informed daily of your infant’s activities and progress on their social, language and motor skills that are continually developing.Once your infant learns to walk, he/she will move to our toddler room where activities with peers of similar ability level continue to strengthen your child’s development appropriately.

Toddlers

Toddlers

Toddlers will experience a loving environment that will stimulate their growth and development as well as structure from a regular routine of activities designed for little ones. They will have many opportunities to pretend, play alone, practice sharing and getting along with others and be guided in small groups. With clear, set limits for your toddler, our teachers will use positive reinforcement and redirection.

Twos/Threes

Twos/Threes

Our preschool class teachers use developmental checklists to create age-appropriate activities and experiences combined with a thematic topic. Small and large group time activities along with center-based activities will ensure each child moves towards their potential as they explore and experiment.

Four-Year Olds

Four-Year Olds

The learning objectives for this age group will help build a foundation for success in their elementary years. A carefully designed schedule of indoor and outdoor activities as well as structured lessons will assist each child’s movement toward their potential. Your child’s natural eagerness to learn will be supported by the varied opportunities within our curriculum.

School Age

School Age

School-age children have special needs. They need a structured environment as they are developing independence. Our trained caregivers have created a fun place your school-age child will want to be, with opportunities to work on a creative art project, do homework or just relax. A social/recreational outlet for after-school energy will be addressed with activities that provide opportunities for your student to interact with others.
